Digital Office
IT Network Engineer / Architect (Fixed-Term, 2 Years)
-Advise national and international customers in the life science industry on integration architecture (e.g. for systems with protocols and interfaces), network architecture, modernization strategies, and security concepts
-Design IT and OT network and domain architectures, including production network segmentation, zoning, Zero Trust principles, and high-availability models
-Prepare architecture blueprints, technical design documents, and migration strategies
-Serve as subject-matter expert for OT-related network topics in complex environments
-Provide architectural guidance and operational support to our internal global IT team
-Participate in international, cross-functional project teams
-Contribute to the development of standards, guidelines, and best practices for network architecture
-Support the implementation of IT and OT network solutions with system and configuration designs, and installation support
-Conduct in the context of customer projects technical system discovery and assessments, and provide solution architecture and design in the whole system delivery lifecycle and for production and QC lab systems migrations
-Conduct troubleshooting, performance analysis, and optimization of existing network environments
-Collaborate on security and compliance projects
-Contribute to hardening measures, operational concepts, and risk-mitigation strategies for mixed IT/OT infrastructures

-Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
-Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in IT Network and System engineering ideally in manufacturing and/or regulated environments
-Strong expertise in enterprise networking in IT/OT
-Solid knowledge of network security technologies
-Advanced expertise in Active Directory, including design and implementation of domains for IT/OT
-Relevant certifications (CCNP/CCIE, NSE, Aruba, Microsoft, etc.) are a plus
-Understanding of GxP and compliance considerations in project delivery
-Excellent communication, collaboration, and consulting skills, with the ability to work effectively in international settings and maintain strong costumer orientation
-Structured, analytical, and proactive problem-solving mindset
-Willingness to travel as typically required in consulting roles
-Fluent in English (written and spoken); German is a plus
